TWO MIDWIVES, ONE SHARED COMMITMENT
What We Believe
CARE HONORS THE WHOLE PERSON. We believe in a holistic, family-centered approach that respects your dignity, autonomy, values, and unique needs.
KNOWLEDGE EMPOWERS CHOICE. We are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-informed care rooted in education, transparency and shared decision-making.
BIRTH IS PHYSIOLOGICAL. SAFETY IS INTENTIONAL. We respect pregnancy and birth as natural processes while prioritizing assessment, clinical expertise, and individual care. Every family deserves to feel safe, heard, respected, and supported throughout their journey.
Jen Grieco
My journey into midwifery began long before I attended my first birth. From the childhood wonder of caring for my newborn sister to my early career in nursing, I've always felt drawn to the deeply personal experience of caring for others. But it was the birth of my third child, my first unmedicated hospital birth, that transformed my perspective on maternity care and ultimately inspired me to pursue homebirth midwifery.
My experiences as a mother have profoundly shaped the way I practice. I believe pregnancy and birth are deeply personal experiences that deserve thoughtful preparation, informed choices, and genuine respect. As your midwife, my role is to walk alongside you through moments of confidence and uncertainty, offering skilled guidance, compassion, and unwavering support.
With over 18 years of midwifery experience, I've had the privilege of accompanying families through some of life's most transformative moments. My approach honors the physiological nature of birth while recognizing its emotional and deeply human dimensions, always grounded in clinical expertise and a commitment to safety.
Above all, I believe exceptional care is built on trust, transparency, and meaningful connection. It is an extraordinary privilege to be invited into this chapter of your life, and one I never take for granted.
My journey into midwifery has been shaped by both personal experience and a deep desire to support families through the transformative experience of birth. As a mother of nine, I've navigated a wide range of birth experiences, including medicated and unmedicated births, cesareans, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), preterm birth, and pregnancy loss. Each experience deepened my understanding of the importance of informed choices, compassionate care, and trusting relationships with healthcare providers.
My passion for supporting families began long before I became a midwife. After attending my first birth as a young mother, I continued supporting friends and family before pursuing professional training in birth work in 2017. My background in birth and bereavement doula support, childbirth education, breastfeeding education, and cesarean advocacy has shaped my commitment to helping families feel informed, confident, and supported.
My approach honors the physiological nature of birth while recognizing that every family's journey is unique. I believe meaningful relationships, evidence-informed care, and shared decision-making are essential to creating an experience where families feel respected, heard, and empowered.
Above all, I value the connections built throughout pregnancy and the trust families place in me during such an intimate chapter of their lives. It is a privilege to walk alongside them, offering compassionate guidance, thoughtful preparation, and unwavering support as they welcome their children into the world.
